Our Roots
The simple beauty of countryside living in the US, Peru, and Mexico sparked a dream for us back in 2017, the year we got married. We imagined building a fulfilling life on a homestead or farm, though it felt like a big leap at first. Then, in 2022, a personal health challenge really brought home how connected our well-being is to what we eat and how we live. That same year, Lucy's exploration at the Center for Arkansas Farms and Food led us to an amazing experience at the Rodale Institute's Farmer Training program (RIFT). By the end of 2023, as my health returned along with a renewed sense of purpose, our calling became clear: we wanted to help others find physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness through good food, thoughtful farming, and a supportive community. RIFT also opened our eyes to the fascinating world of mushroom cultivation and Lucy's love for herbal teas and flowers. Now, back home in Northwest Arkansas, we're so excited to share what we've learned and help you experience the joy of growing your own delicious mushrooms and herbs with simple methods, bringing the goodness of a homegrown harvest right to your doorstep.
